About Selah Media
Buck Roberts graduated from Appalachian State University in 1985 with a Music Education degree. Buck spent years as a public school band director and a worship pastor of a contemporary church in Boone, NC. During this time, Buck spent a large amount of time implementing technology into the church environment, and soon began helping other churches with this task. He also started a school of worship for youth, teaching musicianship and technology to students, many of whom are continuing on today in those disciplines. Buck is an accomplished audio engineer, A/V installer, teacher and clinician.
In 2005, from his experience in education and the ministry Buck started Selah Media Productions. This company is a full service provider, consultant and integrator for the A/V needs of churches and businesses. Our company also works with churches on new constructions, and provides a comprehensive installation solution to ministries. Selah Media Productions currently supplies equipment from over 500 companies, and nearly every major manufacturer in the A/V market. We will travel anywhere in the southeast United States to serve and assist churches and other users of A/V equipment. Selah Media subscribes to the A/V design and installation practices suggested by Infocomm International. We also conduct clinics on audio, lighting and projection technologies, emphasizing training in all aspects of our business. Selah Media offers extremely competitive pricing in all aspects of the operation, even comparable to large internet suppliers!
Selah Media also offers their own line of cables: Blue Knob Audio Cables. These cables are used exclusively in all of our installations and carry a lifetime warranty. We offer a “silent” guitar cable which eliminates pops in systems when disconnected.
Selah Media also has a project recording studio, and has completed numerous recording projects with many varied musicians and groups. Our studio has recorded many musical styles, from classical, to jazz, to Christian rock, and produced numerous projects.
We also have a “home” venue, the HARVEST HOUSE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER. This venue houses our studio, and is a showcase for some of the technologies we offer. In this venue, we designed the auditorium layout, installed a full sound, lighting, and projection package, and installed acoustical treatment. We invite our clients to visit the venue to see a demonstration and experience these technologies. This venue is also home to Living Water Christian Fellowship, the church Buck continues to serve in.
Buck is married to Jennifer Roberts, and has two sons; Tim (21) and Kevin (18). Jenny is an oboist and performs with the Western Piedmont Symphony and the vice president of Selah Media. Tim is a music industry major at Appalachian State University, and an accomplished drummer. After college, Tim aspires to play drums professionally. Kevin is a freshman at Davidson College, majoring in physics. He is an accomplished guitarist, on both acoustic and electric.
Buck’s family assists with the operation of the business.
